How Private Capital Will Shape the Global Economy and the Markets

Interviewer: Dr. Cyril Demaria – Head of Private Markets, Wellershoff & Partners Ltd.

Loïc Rentiers will provide the audience with a perspective on the private markets globally, their environment, current valuations and the evolution of investments. Among the topics which will be discussed are the use of lines of credit and its consequences, the environment to raise funds, the build-up of unused capital (dry powder) and the emergence of a "shadow capital" in private equity (co-investments). The Managing Director of Private Funds Group for PineBridge will also cover challenges in asset allocation, the evolution of fund managers and risk management, in an interactive conversation with the room.

Nico Taverna will explore the hot topic of secondary investments, their current dynamics and the evolution of the market over time. As secondaries are increasingly seen as a staple of private markets portfolios, the Head of Secondaries at Schroder Adveq will provide the audience with background on deal flows, market participants, market size, as well as deal negotiations and dynamics.
