Rasmus Refer born 1970 in Copenhagen is a Danish entrepreneur best known for founding of the business search engine Masterseek corp. in 1998, where he still serves on the Board. Masterseek now encompasses 175 million business profiles, 346 million websites, and 450 million contacts of which 216 million are LinkedIn members thus making Masterseek the largest commercial database in the world.
Rasmus is Chairman of Yellow Group International corp. Most recently, he founded Fastbase Inc.. Fastbase, through its Google Analytic add-on, has established one of the most comprehensive global business databases over the past 10 years.
Early on, Refer became an early developer of advanced web-crawler software, used to collect and index data from the internet. In 1989, Refer founded the publisher group MediaXpres. The company was sold to former CEO in Grey Group in 2010. Refer was co-founder at other companies, including Vopia (OTC:VOPA) and WikiBusiness (Business encyclopedia developed in Mediawiki). Refer has also developed Fastbase.com (launched June 2016), a software application and add-on to Google Analytics to identify webtraffic into real company information. Fastbase is revolutionizing website-visitor intelligence, account-based marketing and lead identification.
